First off, the background is cheesy, but I wanted it to be simple, and simple it is. This is my submission to s project, Soldiers March!.. where we are to depict our spiritual self, or what we'd imagine it to be, in a suit of armor which involves our testimony. I had a BLAST with this image, though I've had to draw it in short time spans between sitting and laying down.
To those who are not religious, I hope you can enjoy the image for the artistic value. This is in no way, shape, or form to shove Christianity down your throat. I don''t hate those who don't believe in what I do, so please, don't hate me for believing.
That said, here is my explanation for my image!
----------
Ephesians 6 talks about the following pieces of armor that we should put on to protect us from evil.
The Belt of Truth - I chose to use blue for my belt, the color of faith, peace, and the Holy Spirit. There are two strands connected by a wing clasp on the left side. The devil can use lies to battle against us, and sometimes they sound truthful. The double strands show the two separate paths that we can go, yet they all come down to the clasp which is my symbol of truth.
The Body Armor of Righteousness - From my NLT bible: The devil often attacks our heart - the seat of our emotions, self-worth, and trust. In such, I used white for purity, yet the red accents have double meaning. The red-cross is a symbol for love, but the color also has meaning of bloodshed. Unfortunately I wanted to put it over her heart, but I forgot that when we put our hands over our hearts, it usually ends up on the left side... hah hah. XD... Oh well. I also used black, since we cant be pure all of the time. Sometimes we sin, but Christ died so that we may be forgiven, so a pure white outfit is out of the question, especially for myself and the things I've done in the past.
Shoes of Peace - "The devil wants us to think that telling others the Good News is a worthless and hopeless task." I used black for the tops of the leggings to depict sin again, as we walk through our lives we still make good and bad choices, but the white shoes are to indicate purity and Gods forgiveness. Again, with the same clasps from the belt!
Shield of Faith - I decided I wouldn't use a real shield. I decided to use a Cross as it shows my faith. I don't walk by stupidity, I walk by faith.
Helmet of Salvation - This is one of my favorite pieces. >_> To protect us from doubting God, Jesus, and salvation, I covered her ears, and gave her a visor to protect her sight. I don't know why, but I stopped listening to music I was a die hard fan for, and put things I loved into boxes on a whim. Suddenly things made sense in my mind that "you are what you eat" isn't just a physical thing. I believe it's Physical, Mental, and Spiritual as well. *Shrug* Those who know me in person are probably horrified by now! XD
The Sword, the Word of God - I guess I took this literally... but I had reason. The sword is the only weapon piece to the armor set, obviously, but I chose to use my own personal Bible for this. I have never bought a Bible before, and this is the one that was recommended to me. I wanted to buy the flashy version, with the two toned leather/cloth cover (T_T ... it was pretty...) but I decided the simple, plain version was and is the most appropriate for me. I don't need something flashy to learn from; it doesn't have to be the biggest and the best. It suited me.

All of that aside! I decided to use a "digital-age" style for this picture, aside from the old fashioned "knights in shining armor" type look when depicting the Armor of God. It fits our times, I think.
Thank you to those who read the entire way through. I hope you enjoy it regardless of your religious beliefs!
Kashnikies, this is far more incredible than the incredible lineart! O_O Great work--you put a lot of thought into your representation, and into your testimony. Excellent job!
Wow, this is such great work! I absolutely LOVE how you did the shield *gets into tech junk mode X3* Awesome futuristic look! I like how you put in your author's comment a detailed explanation of each part to the Armor of God. The text in the image is very creative and has that graphic design flava! But i think the most important thing i saw was the Bible that she held close to her heart, resembling in ourselves as Christians that we need to keep his word close to us. I also notice on the side of the girl's visor on her ear piece the Jewish star, awesome! The motion blur you put on the weapons deflecting of the shield is a good added effect! This piece is simply brilliant to the Christian faith! &

Sorry, bad quote from a very old and (probably) obscure horror movie.
This picture kicks arse!
I love the artwork itself, and the meaning behind each of the armour's pieces lends weight to the piece in general.
Top stuff!
Continue kicking arse!!

Interesting touch eleborating on the different sections and parts in the description; it gives it that extra touch
